Here is Martin Jay Levitt's Confessions of a Union Buster, fifth sentence of page 23:

"The organizing committee is the heart and the soul of a union campaign, for they are the people."

Wow, that is pretty amazing. I didn't expect that this little exercise would basically spearhead what a union was. Not much more to say than that. Wow...
