"Let’s get this straight.

The Republican Party hires an organisation, Voters Outreach of America, to register voters for the upcoming presidential election. That organisation trades as America Votes, a name associated with the Democratic Party, in order to attract potential Democrat voters.

Those prospective Democrat voters fill out their registration cards, which are then ripped up and put in the bin.

But those extenuating circumstances apparently don’t justify extending registration so that affected voters aren’t disenfranchised. The judge who made the decision is a Republican.

The company is suing the employee who raised the allegations, but as George Knapp points out, “discrediting him doesn’t explain the existence of the trashed registration forms.”
